Fantastic 8-bit computer style 2d platformer, that uses the BBC Micro computer as its visual inspiration.

Pirate Hearts have released a new patched version, as well as a mod that makes the game look like EGA DOS games. It looks amazing! Grab both the game and the EGA mod here.

The game is a large platforming adventure with multiple screens to explore.  In a hark back to the ZX Spectrum days of Manic Miner and Jet Set Willy, every screen has its own, often amusing, name. The aim of the game is to find 100% of the treasures dotted around the landscape. Along the way you will find orbs, usually guarded by a projectile spewing meanie, that grant you new powers such as double-jump and wall climbing. It becomes quite difficult in places, with some expert jumping required that will put your platforming skills to the test. It's great fun though, and the visual effect that makes it look like an ancient monitor is cool (and can be turned off if you don't like it).

If you have the required skills then it shouldn't take too long to finish, but there are some sneaky secrets that will keep you searching the landscape for the final, elusive, items.

8-bit home computer platforming at its best.

How it looked before....
